Silva could be a easy target?

For some time now, Bernardo Silva of Manchester City has been a dream target for FC Barcelona. Last summer, the possibility of a transfer was explored, but financial constraints prevented it from materializing, leading Silva to sign a new contract with Manchester City.

Special Clause Eases Financial Burden

Under this new deal, Silva successfully negotiated a relatively affordable release clause of £50 million (€58 million). This development has kept Barcelona's hopes alive, with the club considering player sales to generate the necessary funds.

Despite the managerial change from Xavi Hernandez to Hansi Flick, which cast doubt on the pursuit, recent reports from TV3 suggest a special clause in Silva's contract could facilitate the transfer. This clause allows Barcelona to pay the €58 million release fee in three equal installments of around €19 million, making the deal more financially feasible.

Decision Time for Barcelona's New Management

The final decision rests with the new manager Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco. They must determine whether Silva fits into their strategic plans for the team. If both agree, the special clause could make Silva's long-dreamed-of move to Camp Nou a reality.
