Lamine Yamal Returns to Barça with Renewed Contract.

Lamine Yamal, the young talent from Barça's youth academy, has made a comeback to the first team at the age of 16. Although he missed his chance to score in the recent match against Sevilla, he played a crucial role in the opening goal, with his header leading to Sergio Ramos accidentally knocking the ball into Sevilla's net.

His next opportunity may come next Wednesday as he aims to make his Champions League debut against Porto. Just two days before that, Barcelona is set to officially announce his contract renewal, albeit in a low-key event without media involvement. This renewal will be classified as a grassroots football level contract extension, reflecting his age, despite his rapid rise to the first team.

The talented winger, considered a jewel in Barça's youth ranks, was scheduled to sign his first professional contract upon turning 16. This signing took place in the presence of his family before the first-team's tour of the United States.

Tomorrow, he will officially put pen to paper on a contract that runs until June 30, 2026, spanning three seasons, in accordance with the legal framework for players of his age. His contract will include a release clause of €1 billion.

However, Barcelona has already secured an agreement with Lamine Yamal's agent, Jorge Mendes, to extend his contract until June 30, 2030. This agreement, signed privately, is firmly in place. Upon reaching adulthood, the current contract will be terminated, and a new one will be signed until 2030, featuring a substantial salary increase for a player who is breaking all records.

In these negotiations, given the numerous offers Yamal received, the involvement of the club's new sporting director, Deco, played a pivotal role. Deco shares a close friendship with Jorge Mendes and Sergio Alves, Mendes' right-hand man, making his influence essential in securing the deal.
