FC Barcelona opens Barça Academy in Kyrgyzstan.

On Tuesday, Joan Laporta, accompanied by Kyrgyzstan's President, Sadyr Zhaparov, and Aibek Alybaev, the President of Jalgroup Asia, inaugurated a new Barça Academy in the city of Jalal-Abad. This significant occasion was graced by the presence of Barça Legends players, who are set to face Legends of Asia XI in Kyrgyzstan. The establishment of the Barça Academy marked the culmination of the official activities for the day during the team's visit to the Central Asian nation.

Distinguished as the inaugural Barça Academy not only in Kyrgyzstan but also in the entirety of Central Asia, the event was marked by the symbolic cutting of the ceremonial ribbon. President Laporta, Kyrgyzstan's President, Sadyr Zhaparov, and Aibek Alybaev, the President of Jalgroup Asia, who partnered in the project, delivered speeches to commemorate the occasion. The trio then took a tour of the facility, which is poised to offer local children the opportunity to learn football the Barça way.

An impromptu match unfolded during the visit, featuring 'Team Rivaldo' and 'Team Puyol,' consisting of Academy players. This Academy is set to officially commence its activities the following week, aligning with the ethos and methodology that the FC Barcelona youth teams adhere to. Just like the other 27 Barça Academies worldwide, the aim is to instill young individuals with the renowned footballing philosophy recognized globally.
