Barcelona will only be responsible for 25% of Lenglet's wages if Lenglet leaves.

Since Lenglet wasn't fitting into the manager's strategies and considering his high salary demands, Barcelona was actively seeking ways to remove him from their roster.

In an ideal scenario, the champions of La Liga would have preferred a permanent departure with a transfer fee. However, even a temporary loan departure would have positive implications for the club's adherence to Financial Fair Play regulations.

According to reports, for this season, Barcelona will only be responsible for 25% of Lenglet's wages, while Villa will cover the remaining 75%.

This move is anticipated to create a Financial Fair Play surplus of €7.9 million, as reported by Gerard Romero.

By registering Lenglet with La Liga before facilitating his loan move, Barcelona can benefit from the Financial Fair Play perspective. This exit is projected to generate a margin of close to €8 million.

Such a development could provide assistance to Barcelona in finalizing the registrations of players like Inigo Martinez and Inaki Pena. However, it's likely that they will still need additional room to accommodate the signing of Joao Cancelo.
