Barcelona Takes great Steps to Secure Gavi's First-Team Status"

 

Barcelona's ongoing struggle with La Liga's player registration process, stemming from financial limitations, has been a familiar tale. As the registration window for the squad draws to a close, the club is focused on establishing a safety net within Gavi's contract.

Barcelona's Prudent Approach Reportedly, Barcelona is actively engaged in re-registering Gavi's first-team contract within the salary constraints this summer, as per SPORT.

Currently, the young prodigy's registration is a result of a precautionary measure that the club had secured through legal channels. This move took place in the middle of the previous season, with Gavi being registered as a first-team player donning the No. 6 jersey. However, La Liga expressed opposition to this decision.

In a twist of events, the precautionary measure was subsequently revoked, mid-season, prompting Gavi to revert to wearing the No. 30 kit and returning to his youth contract.

In June, however, Barcelona managed to once again secure a court order to re-register Gavi as a first-team member. The promising midfielder received the No. 6 kit at the onset of the new season, marking his formal elevation to the first-team setup.
