Xavi has offered his thoughts on who he thinks will win the 2022 World Cup.

The previous midfielder brought home three significant global championships with La Roja as a player including their famous 2010 World Cup win in South Africa.

The 42-year-old is getting ready for the second half of the 2022/23 season as he enjoys a break due to the tournament in Qatar.

Xavi said that he is impressed by Spain and Luis Enrique ahead of their match on November 23, but he thinks South America will win.

According to Marca reports, "I see a very even World Cup, but with the two South Americans a step above the Europeans."

"I see Brazil as very strong, and Leo (Messi) is very motivated with Argentina,"

Enrique has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Messi and Argentina win the championship if Spain loses, as the former Barcelona star did in the 2014 final.

Tomorrow, La Albiceleste play Saudi Arabia in their own Group C opener, and Brazil plays Serbia on November 24 in Lusail.
