Laporta recently criticized the Barcelona Interim Committee for lack of action on Eric Garcia's actions, PSG's interest in landing Leo Messi, and the president.
No action was taken after the election was postponed. Interim President Carles Tusquets and presidential candidate Toni Freixa believe that Laporta's comments pose a threat to the current board of directors.
Freixa even called it "blatant infidelity." According to reports, Tusquets wrote to Laporta asking him to stop telling the board what to do.
In response, Laporta reportedly apologized to Tusquets; the presidential candidate added: "Carl, I know your tension is the result of you being in a situation that is not easy at all."
