Barcelona confirms Coutinho is preparing for knee surgery

 

Barcelona confirmed on Wednesday that Philippe Coutinho needed knee surgery after an injury to Eibar in a 1-1 draw.

 The Brazil international came off the bench in the second half, but was forced off after experiencing problems. 

Afterwards, Coutinho was tested and the results showed that the 28-year-old man needed surgery. "Tests conducted on first team player Philippe Coutinho showed that the midfielder suffered an injury to the lateral meniscus of his left knee. 

Treatment will require arthroscopic surgery in the next few days. It is unclear about the library.
